Art has been a focus of mine for as long as I can remember. My first art lessons outside of school were at Parks & Recreation classes in my home town of Concord, NH, when I was a young teenager. My interest was stimulated by these lessons and I searched out other classes to attend. My high school did not offer studio classes so I began taking courses at The Currier Gallery of Art, Manchester, NH where I worked for a couple of years preparing a portfolio for application to The School of the Worcester Art Museum of Art, Worcester, MA, where I stayed until called up for mililtary service during the war in Vietnam. I was very fortunate to be selected to attend Naval photography school and my military travels took me east to Europe and North Africa. After my discharge from the US Navy I attended classes at The San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco, CA. I've continued to remain interested in making art and have had a few one person shows, the latest being at Studio Place Arts, Barre, VT, in 2008. My interests are painted paper collage, jewelry made from painted paper and laser cut acrylic jewelry.
